What items can I sell on potafriQ?
potafriQ enables Kenyan entrepreneurs to sell authentic and high-quality items across the following categories:
• African art
• Fashion and textile
• Home decor
• Beauty and wellness
• African utensils
• Dried food and spices
Upon a sale, how do I get paid?
Congratulations on the sale! Payments are made via M-Pesa or bank transfer. Upon order fulfilment, it will take 7 days.
What charges do I incur as a potafriQ vendor?
Opening a shop and selling on potafriQ is free. The only charge incurred is the flat rate commission of 15% on the value of the product sold.
How do I learn about new orders that I have received?
You shall receive your order notifications either via email used to create the account or via a text message on the number used to register the account, or both.
How long do I have to ship an order to the fulfilment centre?
You have 72 hours to bring the order to our fulfilment centre. Currently, it is at Jadala Place, Ngong Lane.
Do I incur the shipping fee to the customer?
No. Sellers do not bear the shipping cost to the customer.
Can potafriQ help me ship orders sold outside the platform?
Yes, at a fee. Contact us for the arrangement.
I uploaded my products but were rejected. Why?
To ensure the highest quality of standards in the marketplace, we are very strict on the following image specifications:
• Image dimensions must be 500 x 500
• Images must be taken on a plain white background
• Images must not carry any form of watermarks
Ensure you have an adequate product description too, highlighting product dimensions and weight. We will indicate the exact reason for the rejected products via an email that we shall send to you. However, we will be happy to help you meet the requirements. Contact us.
Once rejected, can I upload my products for re-approval?
Yes. Take note of the changes suggested and reupload the products.

Can I track my order?
Yes. You will receive both an SMS and an email containing your order tracking number. In addition, you shall receive updates on your order each step of the way.
Can I return my order?
Returns and exchanges are legible within 48 hours of receiving the order. Refer to our return policy to learn more.
How long will my order take to be delivered?
Domestic orders take up to 2 working days, while international orders take 6 - 11 days.
How do I pay for an order?
We currently accept three ways, M-Pesa, Credit Cards and Debit Cards. More options coming soon.
